Canoe Polo Extravaganza at Windmill Hill

Canoe Polo made it its debut at the Launceston Aquatic Centre last Saturday. The day was a great success in showcasing the sport to the public.

'Team Knox' took on the 'Rusty's' in some fierce games. The contests for the ball were physical with neither team holding back. With several players having to display their hand rolling skills.

At the end of the day Team Knox and the Rusty's were level on games won. So it went to sudden death with Eoin Knox scoring the winning goal against the impenetrable Shippy. Some specatators described  some of the contests as 'brutal.' Though some of the players were battered and exhausted everyone was pleased to have participated in getting Canoe Polo up and running again in Launceston.

Thanks goes to the all the club members who turned up to play and the staff at Launceston Aquatic for making the day possible.
